A psychologist's day is centred on other people: listening, asking questions, making sense of difficult situations and helping clients find their way forward. But running a practice also means managing everything that happens around those conversations.

And much of that work happens alone.

At Careshaper, we believe that the people who support others should have a professional community they can learn from, collaborate with and turn to. That's one of the reasons we're happy to share that Careshaper is now an official partner of the Vlaamse Vereniging voor Klinisch Psychologen (VVKP), the scientific and professional association for clinical psychologists in Flanders, representing more than 2,400 members.

For us, this partnership is about more than working alongside a professional association. It's an opportunity to get closer to the people who shape clinical psychology in Belgium, understand what their work looks like in practice and learn how we can better support them.

Why VVKP?

Clinical psychology is a profession built on knowledge, experience and human connection. VVKP brings these elements together by representing clinical psychologists, strengthening the position of clinical psychology within healthcare, and supporting members through scientific knowledge, professional advice and training.

We value the role VVKP plays in bringing professionals together around their shared interests and the future of their profession.

We're glad to become part of that wider community and to have more opportunities to listen, learn and exchange ideas with the people at its heart.

No one should have to do this work alone

Good psychological care often involves more than one person. A client might work with a psychologist, a psychiatrist, a GP or other professionals, each contributing their own knowledge and perspective. Yet finding the right colleague, making a referral or coordinating care can take time and effort.

And beyond the work with clients, there is the value of having peers to exchange ideas with, learn from and turn to when a situation is challenging.

We believe these connections matter. That's why Careshaper supports professionals not only in managing their practices, but also in working together.

Through secure client referrals, Care Circles and tools for organising group sessions, professionals can coordinate parts of their work and connect with colleagues when collaboration is needed.

Technology can't replace professional relationships. But it can make some of the practical steps involved in working together easier.

More space for the work that matters

Appointments, client records, documents, waiting lists and invoices are all part of running a practice. They matter, but they're not usually what draws someone to clinical psychology.

Careshaper brings these everyday tasks together in one platform, helping professionals spend less time managing the practical side of their work and more time focusing on their clients.

Learning from the people who do the work

We don't want to build tools based on assumptions about what clinical psychologists need. We want to keep listening to the people who use them, understand the challenges they face and learn from the different ways they work.

Becoming a VVKP partner gives us more opportunities to do that: to exchange ideas with the professional community, learn from its experience and contribute to conversations about the future of clinical psychology in Belgium.

Through Compass Magazine, we also hope to share perspectives, experiences and ideas that are useful to the people working in mental healthcare.

VVKP members will have access to dedicated benefits through this partnership, and we're looking forward to finding more ways to make our collaboration valuable to the community.

Looking ahead

We're grateful to the VVKP team for their trust and look forward to getting to know the community better.

We know that building something useful starts with listening. We look forward to hearing from professionals, learning from their experiences and continuing to shape Careshaper around the realities of their work.

Because when the practical side of running a practice works better, professionals have more space for the people who depend on them.
